Mini-Grant Program

  • The purpose of the mini-grants will be to strengthen the comedian’s ability to function and can continue to be gainfully employed. Instead of living in their cars, the comedian should live in motels or low-cost housing. The transportation costs mini-grants will enable performers to commute to work via public transportation. Mini-grants will be awarded quarterly starting at $500 to a maximum of $5,000.

  • Eligible mini-grant recipients are individuals who desire to function as comedians and artists but who are in need of help in many ways as evidenced by their homelessness, their need for transportation, bad health and hunger or have made choices that do not help them to be productive members of society.

  • Grants are given out 4 times per year - in February, May, August, and November.
