Mini-Grant Program

  • The purpose of the mini-grants will be to strengthen the comedian’s ability to function and can continue to be gainfully employed. Often when comedians are facing financial hardship, it prevents them from pursuing their career as a comedian. Mini-grants will be awarded quarterly up to a maximum of $5,000.

    The three categories that are eligible for financial assistance are:

    1) Transportation

    2) Housing

    3) Medical

  • Eligible mini-grant recipients are working comedians whose annual income is below the poverty line.

    Documentation confirming an individual’s need for assistance and proof of annual income are both required as part of the application process.

  • Grants are given out 4 times per year - in February, May, August, and November.
